Saturday, June 2, 2018 - The Mound Fire Department and its firefighters will once again be hosting the MFD Fish Fry, with 2018 marking the 67th Anniversary of good times, good fish, and good community. We welcome you to join us as we work to reach 3,000 fish dinners served!
Trista Day is sponsored by the City of Minnetrista and the event will be held at their City Offices at 7701 Co Rd 110 West in Minnetrista. Trista Day is a family friendly event, where people of all ages can learn about Public Safety, City of Minnetrista operations, and local area businesses. As always, there will be free activities, hotdogs, chips, popcorn, cotton candy, and refreshments.
Please join us for our annual turkey bingo.
Doors and concessions open at 6pm and bingo starts at 7pm. Each bingo card is $1 per play. There will be prizes of Turkeys and Pies for the Bingo winners as well as raffle prizes throughout the evening, ending the night with a coverall game for $100 cash prize.

In advance of Fire Prevention Week, mark your calendars for the Mound Fire Department Open House on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Mound Fire Station. We’ll have hands-on activities, including fire displays, fire truck rides and more. This will be a family fun event for all ages!
Since 1922, Fire Prevention Week has been observed on the Sunday through Saturday period in which October 9th falls. Fire Prevention Week was established to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire than began the evening of October 8, 1871 and killed more than 250 people and destroyed more than 17,400 structures on October 8th and 9th. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) continues to be the international sponsor of the week.
